Instead of giving so irrelevant answers you could pay attention to what OP is reffering to.
He asked for the heal to be single target as in if he heals an ally he( taric) will not be healed also.
I'd agree to this,he already has insane survivability/2 offensive spells a very powerfull heal and an ulti spell that provides vital support in a team fight.

i actually do agree here, taric as is, is a better healer then soraka at this point, got stun, high dmg aoe, and unnatural high survivability..
ever tried to focus a soraka endgame? yer its like taking a warm knife through butter. now try doing the same with taric and begin to try, now lets say this is bc his a self healer, but fact is that he is healing better then soraka in most cases and got much more usability.

a stunning, tank, ap dps, shouldnt have a CHEAP heal which will allow him to stay in a lane FOREVER constantly healing him and a friend... kind off stupid that taric is more effective as support then soraka to keep people alive xD

The funny thing is that a Taric (not fed) just resisted a ignite + Mordekaiser Ulti with a brick of HP left.
